Analisis Kadar Biological Clogging Materials pada Jalan Raya dan Jalan Perkotaan

Aspal porus merupakan salah satu alternatif bahan permukaan jalan yang dapat mengurangi limpasan air di permukaan, memberikan suhu permukaan yang lebih rendah dan mengurangi kebisingan. Akan tetapi bahan tersebut memiliki kendala lain terkait sumbatan pada pori (clogging). Selain karena material endapan, sumbatan juga dapat disebabkan karena kandungan material biologis yang terdapat di jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kadar material biologis sebagai bahan penyumbat (clogging material) yang ada di jalan, terutama pada jalan raya dan jalan perkotaan. Sampel clogging material diambil di beberapa lokasi jalan dengan keberadaan vegetasi di tipikal jalan perkotaan dan antar kota. Sampel clogging material pasir berbutir digunakan sebagai sampel pembanding. Untuk mengetahui keberadaan material biologis, metode pengujian kadar c organik dengan gravimetri dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan volume material endapan pada jalan raya lebih besar dibandingkan jalan perkotaan, tetapi kandungan material organik pada jalan perkotaan lebih banyak dibandingkan jalan raya. Hal tersebut dapat disebabkan karena material organik lebih banyak tertinggal dan mengendap pada badan jalan karena volume lalu lintas pada jalan perkotaan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan jalan raya.
