Seiring meningkatnya mobilitas transportasi di wilayah perkotaan, kebutuhan akan perkerasan jalan yang memiliki ketahanan tinggi terhadap kerusakan, khususnya retak, menjadi semakin penting. Penelitian ini menganalisis kinerja campuran Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) dengan penggunaan abu terbang sebagai filler terhadap ketahanan retak pada variasi kadar aspal 5%, 5,5%, dan 6%. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode kuat tarik belah untuk memperoleh kurva beban–lendutan, yang
selanjutnya digunakan dalam analisis toughness dan Cracking Tolerance Index (CT Index). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campuran dengan kadar aspal 5,5% memiliki performa terbaik dengan beban maksimum 3,62 kN, nilai toughness sebesar 12,97 kN·mm, dan CT Index sebesar 88,62. Peningkatan kadar aspal dari 5% ke 5,5% meningkatkan kemampuan penyerapan energi deformasi dan ketahanan retak, sedangkan pada kadar 6% terjadi penurunan kinerja akibat kelebihan binder
yang melemahkan struktur internal campuran. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa keseimbangan antara kerangka agregat dan matriks mastic menjadi faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan ketahanan retak, serta pemanfaatan abu terbang berpotensi meningkatkan performa sekaligus mendukung keberlanjutan material perkerasan.
